🎉 Stanza is Now Free for All Creators (and Analytics is Live)

The creator plan now costs nothing at any scale. And new analytics answer the two questions that matter: where your subscribers come from, and how much of your fans' time you actually own.

Two announcements today, and they are connected.

First: publishing on Stanza is now free for all creators. The Add to Calendar button, publishing, unlimited subscribers, and everything else in the creator plan now costs nothing. If you are on a paid plan, you will stop being charged starting September 2026. There is nothing you need to do.

Second: creator analytics are live, in the Analytics tab on your profile page on Stanza.

Why free, and why now

Over the past year we expanded Stanza+ into a real premium product for fans who want more out of their calendar. Enough fans upgrade now that fans can fund the platform and creators can publish free.

Most platforms charge you more as your audience grows. Add subscribers, move up a pricing tier. Your growth becomes your bill. Stanza is free whether a hundred fans follow you or a hundred thousand.

The two questions your analytics should answer

When we started designing creator analytics, the easy answer was a subscriber growth chart. Every platform gives you one, and so do we: daily subscribers added and removed, plus where you rank against calendars your size.

But a growth chart only tells you what already happened. When we asked the creators who helped us build this what they actually wanted to know, it came down to two harder questions:

  1. Where are my subscribers actually coming from?
  2. How much of my fans' time do I actually own?

1. Where your subscribers come from

Nielsen's ROI research found that half of all media plans put budget in the wrong places, and that fixing allocation alone can improve returns by up to 50% (Nielsen, 2022 ROI Report). Most audience building is flying blind, and it is expensive.

The Acquisition view shows exactly which channels bring you subscribers: your own site, other sites, search, social, direct, and the Stanza network. Alongside it, where your fans live, what language they speak, and which calendar app they check every day.

2. Your share of the time wallet

Your fans are busier than they have ever been. Americans now cram more than 13 hours of media into every day, a multitasked "32-hour day" (Activate Consulting, 2026 Technology and Media Outlook). Even during your own game, 77% of fans are doing something else at the same time (Deloitte, 2023 Sports Fan Insights).

"We compete directly with YouTube for people's time, for the time they spend on that TV screen."
Ted Sarandos, Co-CEO of Netflix, Q3 2024 earnings call

Economists saw this coming half a century ago. Nobel laureate Herbert Simon wrote in 1971 that "a wealth of information creates a poverty of attention." Attention, not content, is the scarce asset. Your real competition is not the team across the division. It is everything else on your fan's calendar.

Calendar Share shows you that fight directly: how much of your fans' calendar is yours, day by day, and which other calendars fill the quiet weeks between your events. No other platform can show you this, because no other platform lives where your fans plan their time.

What creators do with this

Pitching sponsors with numbers nobody else has. Sponsorships get priced on audience fit, and exposure to the right fanbase lifts purchase intent by 10% on average (Nielsen, 2022). "Our fans are in these five cities, follow these three other calendars, and we hold the biggest share of their schedule" is a different pitch than a follower count.

Spending where subscribers actually come from. If search brings you 3x what social does, your next hour of effort has an obvious home.

Programming the quiet weeks. When other calendars fill your silence, that is exactly when to drop an announcement, a presale, or an event.

Brands that put first-party audience data to work see up to 2.9x higher revenue uplift than those that do not (BCG and Google). This is that data, for your fanbase, free.

"We, as teams, are direct-to-consumer businesses ourselves. We have millions of emails and names in our database here locally, and that better positions us to frankly grow and scale a direct-to-consumer product."
Zach Leonsis, President of Media, Monumental Sports (Wizards, Capitals), 2023

FAQ

How much does Stanza cost for creators?
Nothing. Publishing, the Add to Calendar button, and unlimited subscribers are free at every scale. Paid creator plans stop being charged starting September 2026.

Where do I find my analytics?
In the Analytics tab on your calendar's profile page, once our Add to Calendar button is live on your website or socials.

What do the analytics include?
Subscriber growth with a peer ranking, acquisition sources (your site, search, social, the Stanza network), fan geography, language, and device, and Calendar Share: how much of your fans' calendar is yours and which calendars compete for it.

Do my fans see any of this?
No. Analytics are aggregate and private to you. We never share a fan's personal data or make a fan's calendar visible to anyone.
